His stream was due to start at 2 p.m. ET, and very quickly picked up 350,000 concurrent users, but not before the entire site was plagued by a series of technical issues that even managed to break the front page. The streamer then stated that he had broken Twitch over on his Twitter account, although eventually things did get back to normal on the platf

Exactly where Dr DisRespect goes now, though, is another matter entirely. The PUBG weapons streamer has had an intense relationship with his Twitch fanbase, as shown by his previous tears during a stream , and that’s likely to continue now he’s made his return. Who knows: perhaps he can even break his own Twitch record in the fut

But as the tweet from Bloomberg’s Nakamura points out, the number of concurrent players on PC peaked last month, and there has been a steady downward trend ever since. The Xbox One version is also known to have several technical issues, which may be scaring off some console-exclusive players from purchasing the game. So, while PUBG Corp. continues to crack down on cheaters, they will probably need more than just one new map to keep **PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ** ‘ player base satiated going forward, especially with more games adding their own battle royale modes to compete in the new mar

”We really want to keep iterating and keep trying stuff, and we have our Test Server, we have our Experimental Test Server now so we can roll out stuff earlier. And it really is about using our community and getting their feedback early on so we can just keep testing and keep moving forward. So the process we built up last year we’re just refining now and carrying into the futu

In an interview with Eurogamer , Greene stated that there is no reason a player should die in the red zone. Greene also conveyed confidence in the reason for the zone’s in-game existence, which has endured some pushback from some of the PUBG community’s louder voi

While it may be the case that the PUBG Corporation objects to other developers profiting from games based heavily on their formula, it may also be the case that the PUBG Corporation has decided to act only now that they have released PUBG on mobile devices , and so are now competing directly with NetEase in the same market. Often, copycat titles go relatively unnoticed because they are released on mobile platforms only, where they do not compete directly with the original game on PC or conso

Unfortunately, Greene wouldn’t say anything regarding actual details, nor would he reveal any of the new weapons, potential modes or vehicles coming to the game. The update didn’t talk about the Xbox version of the game or loot boxes either, but it did offer some examples of aesthetic changes coming to existing assets – improving the look and level of detail on buildings. The biggest reveal however (the only real reveal) is that of a smaller, 4x4km island map designed to offer players a quicker battle royale experie

Dr DisRespect finally made his return to Twitch.tv today, and in the process managed to take the platform down. The streamer, whose real name is Guy Beahm, is one of the most popular around, and his caustic personality has gelled well with Twitch users. He’s the (self-proclaimed) “face of Twitch” after all! The former video game developer has managed to pull in huge numbers with his PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds streams, leading to the doctor becoming one of the biggest Twitch celebrities and winner of two awards for it last y

Loot boxes! More loot boxes ! Locked loot boxes! Selling loot boxes! Cheating for loot boxes! Last August, Twitch had some major outages , with the service stuck down for several hours with only intermittent access. As the site grows larger and larger, no doubt the service will aim to stop these issues from cropping up again, particularly when dates that are likely to put a major strain on the service can be easily identif

”It is an overwhelming voice already! And people say there’s no reason to it but it provides audio cover, it really looks cool when you’re fighting in it. And really, you shouldn’t be dying to the red zone. If you’re dying to the red zone then, I’m sorry but you’re not a very good player. It’s like, you know there’s a hundred meter safe zone around the edge of it, if you’re in a building there’s a very little chance of you getting hit, it’s there for a specific reason, it looks really cool and it provides tension. If you’re trapped in a fight in the red zone, it’s exciting! People say that it has no reason, but it does. It’s there for a very specific reason which is providing audio cover and even when it’s a little bit in the distance it provides enough cover to run a little bit, so, there are reasons. But, that said, if there is an outpouring of hate towards it, we may consider
